Founded in 2009 Cason Custom Rod Finishes launched head on to address an issue that has frustrated many custom rod builders. True and reliable color retention on many different thread types is something that, until now, current Color Preserver's, frankly, didn't do as well as many thread artists wished they could.

So, after many months of research, development, and testing along with input from some of the finest thread artists in our craft our founders Bill and Martha Cason arrived at two Color Preserver formulas that have truely outstanding qualities. Both products are unique in that they are crystal clear in the bottle and remain crystal clear after application. This is because our C.P.'s are solutions as opposed to other C.P.'s which are dispersions or suspensions. In a dispersion or suspension the resins exist as tiny droplets suspended in water. A solution, however, is at a molecular level and as a result a solution will allow for better penetration and coverage.

We are currently researching other potential products based on the advances in materials that have taken place in the past few years. These NEW materials, systems, resins, and additives offer great promise for advances in our craft. Stay Tuned!
